1 O give thanks to the Lord and call upon his name; ♦︎
make known his deeds among the peoples.
2 Sing to him, sing praises, ♦︎
and tell of all his marvellous works.
3 Rejoice in the praise of his holy name; ♦︎
let the hearts of them rejoice who seek the Lord.
4 Seek the Lord and his strength; ♦︎
seek his face continually.
5 Remember the marvels he has done, ♦︎
his wonders and the judgements of his mouth,
6 O seed of Abraham his servant, ♦︎
O children of Jacob his chosen.
23 Then Israel came into Egypt; ♦︎
Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 And the Lord made his people exceedingly fruitful; ♦︎
he made them too many for their adversaries,
25 Whose heart he turned, so that they hated his people ♦︎
and dealt craftily with his servants.
26 Then sent he Moses his servant ♦︎
and Aaron whom he had chosen.
45 That they might keep his statutes ♦︎
and faithfully observe his laws.
Alleluia.

16Go and assemble the elders of Israel, and say to them, The Lord, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying: I have given heed to you and to what has been done to you in Egypt.
17I declare that I will bring you up out of the misery of Egypt, to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, a land flowing with milk and honey.
18They will listen to your voice; and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt and say to him, The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us; let us now go a three days journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.
19I know, however, that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless compelled by a mighty hand.*
20So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders that I will perform in it; after that he will let you go.
21I will bring this people into such favour with the Egyptians that, when you go, you will not go empty-handed;
22each woman shall ask her neighbour and any woman living in the neighbours house for jewellery of silver and of gold, and clothing, and you shall put them on your sons and on your daughters; and so you shall plunder the Egyptians.

7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus* will destroy* with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. 9The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, 10and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false, 12so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned.
