23 So he commanded the clouds above ♦︎
and opened the doors of heaven.
24 He rained down upon them manna to eat ♦︎
and gave them the grain of heaven.
25 So mortals ate the bread of angels; ♦︎
he sent them food in plenty.
26 He caused the east wind to blow in the heavens ♦︎
and led out the south wind by his might.
27 He rained flesh upon them as thick as dust ♦︎
and winged fowl like the sand of the sea.
28 He let it fall in the midst of their camp ♦︎
and round about their tents.
29 So they ate and were well filled, ♦︎
for he gave them what they desired.

3 Moses said to the people, Remember this day on which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, because the Lord brought you out from there by strength of hand; no leavened bread shall be eaten. 4Today, in the month of Abib, you are going out. 5When the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he swore to your ancestors to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, you shall keep this observance in this month. 6For seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a festival to the Lord. 7Unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days; no leavened bread shall be seen in your possession, and no leaven shall be seen among you in all your territory. 8You shall tell your child on that day, It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt. 9It shall serve for you as a sign on your hand and as a reminder on your forehead, so that the teaching of the Lord may be on your lips; for with a strong hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt. 10You shall keep this ordinance at its proper time from year to year.

5 When the disciples reached the other side, they had forgotten to bring any bread.
6Jesus said to them, Watch out, and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
7They said to one another, It is because we have brought no bread.
8And becoming aware of it, Jesus said, You of little faith, why are you talking about having no bread?
9Do you still not perceive? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you gathered?
10Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you gathered?
11How could you fail to perceive that I was not speaking about bread? Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees!
12Then they understood that he had not told them to beware of the yeast of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
