1 O Lord our governor, ♦︎
how glorious is your name in all the world!
2 Your majesty above the heavens is praised ♦︎
out of the mouths of babes at the breast.
3 You have founded a stronghold against your foes, ♦︎
that you might still the enemy and the avenger.
4 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, ♦︎
the moon and the stars that you have ordained,
5 What is man, that you should be mindful of him; ♦︎
the son of man, that you should seek him out?
6 You have made him little lower than the angels ♦︎
and crown him with glory and honour.
7 You have given him dominion over the works of your hands ♦︎
and put all things under his feet,
8 All sheep and oxen, ♦︎
even the wild beasts of the field,
9 The birds of the air, the fish of the sea ♦︎
and whatsoever moves in the paths of the sea.
10 O Lord our governor, ♦︎
how glorious is your name in all the world!

11 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and saw their forced labour. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his kinsfolk. 12He looked this way and that, and seeing no one he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13When he went out the next day, he saw two Hebrews fighting; and he said to the one who was in the wrong, Why do you strike your fellow Hebrew? 14He answered, Who made you a ruler and judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian? Then Moses was afraid and thought, Surely the thing is known. 15When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses.
But Moses fled from Pharaoh. He settled in the land of Midian, and sat down by a well.

33 O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgements and how inscrutable his ways!
34 For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counsellor?
35 Or who has given a gift to him,
to receive a gift in return?
36For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever. Amen.
