2and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any who belonged to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 9When some stubbornly refused to believe and spoke evil of the Way before the congregation, he left them, taking the disciples with him, and argued daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.*

23 About that time no little disturbance broke out concerning the Way. 4I persecuted this Way up to the point of death by binding both men and women and putting them in prison, 14But this I admit to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our ancestors, believing everything laid down according to the law or written in the prophets. 26At the same time he hoped that money would be given to him by Paul, and for that reason he used to send for him very often and converse with him.
