²⁵Consequently he is able for all time to save^* those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All

10Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the true form of these realities, it^* can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered year after year, make perfect those who approach.

²²let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

⁶And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

18 You have not come to something^* that can be touched, a blazing fire, and darkness, and gloom, and a tempest,

²²But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering,
