31 Then his mother and his brothers came; and standing outside, they sent to him and called him.
32A crowd was sitting around him; and they said to him, Your mother and your brothers and sisters* are outside, asking for you.
33And he replied, Who are my mother and my brothers?
34And looking at those who sat around him, he said, Here are my mother and my brothers!
35Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.

27 While he was saying this, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that nursed you!

3So his brothers said to him, Leave here and go to Judea so that your disciples also may see the works you are doing; 4for no one who wants* to be widely known acts in secret. If you do these things, show yourself to the world. 5(For not even his brothers believed in him.) 6Jesus said to them, My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. 7The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify against it that its works are evil. 8Go to the festival yourselves. I am not* going to this festival, for my time has not yet fully come. 9After saying this, he remained in Galilee.

But he said, Lord, first let me go and bury my father. 60But Jesus* said to him, Let the dead bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God. 61Another said, I will follow you, Lord; but let me first say farewell to those at my home. 62Jesus said to him, No one who puts a hand to the plough and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God. 26Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even life itself, cannot be my disciple.
