36Therefore let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah,* this Jesus whom you crucified.
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles, Brothers,* what should we do? 38Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39For the promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far away, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him. 40And he testified with many other arguments and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this corrupt generation. 41So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added.

4 For the word of the Lord is true ♦︎
and all his works are sure.
5 He loves righteousness and justice; ♦︎
the earth is full of the loving-kindness of the Lord.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord
is upon those who fear him, ♦︎
on those who wait in hope for his steadfast love,
19 To deliver their soul from death ♦︎
and to feed them in time of famine.
20 Our soul waits longingly for the Lord; ♦︎
he is our help and our shield.
21 Indeed, our heart rejoices in him; ♦︎
in his holy name have we put our trust.
22 Let your loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, ♦︎
as we have set our hope on you.

11 But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb. As she wept, she bent over to look* into the tomb; 12and she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had been lying, one at the head and the other at the feet. 13They said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? She said to them, They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him. 14When she had said this, she turned round and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? For whom are you looking? Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away. 16Jesus said to her, Mary! She turned and said to him in Hebrew,* Rabbouni! (which means Teacher). 17Jesus said to her, Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. 18Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, I have seen the Lord; and she told them that he had said these things to her.
