19Better the poor walking in integrity
2Desire without knowledge is not good,
3Ones own folly leads to ruin,
4Wealth brings many friends,
5A false witness will not go unpunished,
6Many seek the favor of the generous,
7If the poor are hated even by their kin,
When they call after them, they are not there.
9A false witness will not go unpunished,
10It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury,
11Those with good sense are slow to anger,
12A kings anger is like the growling of a lion,
13A stupid child is ruin to a father,
14House and wealth are inherited from parents,
15Laziness brings on deep sleep;
16Those who keep the commandment will live;
17Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,
18Discipline your children while there is hope;
19A violent tempered person will pay the penalty;
20Listen to advice and accept instruction,
21The human mind may devise many plans,
22What is desirable in a person is loyalty,
23The fear of the Lord is life indeed;
24The lazy person buries a hand in the dish,
25Strike a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence;
26Those who do violence to their father and chase away their mother
27Cease straying, my child, from the words of knowledge,
28A worthless witness mocks at justice,
29Condemnation is ready for scoffers,
20Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler,
2The dread anger of a king is like the growling of a lion;
3It is honorable to refrain from strife,
4The lazy person does not plow in season;
5The purposes in the human mind are like deep water,
6Many proclaim themselves loyal,
7The righteous walk in integrity
8A king who sits on the throne of judgment
9Who can say, I have made my heart clean;
10Diverse weights and diverse measures
11Even children make themselves known by their acts,
12The hearing ear and the seeing eye
13Do not love sleep, or else you will come to poverty;
14Bad, bad, says the buyer,
15There is gold, and abundance of costly stones;
16Take the garment of one who has given surety for a stranger;
17Bread gained by deceit is sweet,
18Plans are established by taking advice;
19A gossip reveals secrets;
20If you curse father or mother,
21An estate quickly acquired in the beginning
22Do not say, I will repay evil;
23Differing weights are an abomination to the Lord,
24All our steps are ordered by the Lord;
25It is a snare for one to say rashly, It is holy,
26A wise king winnows the wicked,
27The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord,
28Loyalty and faithfulness preserve the king,
29The glory of youths is their strength,
30Blows that wound cleanse away evil;
