15Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
²The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
³The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.
⁴Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
⁵The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.
⁶Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
⁷And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.
⁸And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.
⁹The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
¹⁰Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
¹¹Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
¹⁹For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
²⁰And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
²¹And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

Psalm 111

¹Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
²The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
³His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
⁴He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.
⁵He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
⁶He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
⁷The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
⁸They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
⁹He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.
¹⁰The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
⁴To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
⁵Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
⁶Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
⁷That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
⁸Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
⁹Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

¹⁹Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
²⁰And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
²¹Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
²²And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
²³Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
²⁴But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
²⁵The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
²⁶And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
²⁷Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
²⁸And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
²⁹Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
³⁰And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
³¹But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
